Sunday European football predictions

Fiorentina are well-placed to continue their surge up the Serie A standings when they visit Torino. The home side have lost five of their last six matches following Thursday’s 1-0 loss at Roma, while their opponents are in fantastic form.

La Viola have won their last six games in all competitions and five of their last six in Serie A. With Torino having lost to Empoli and Lazio in their last three home matches, Fiorentina can maintain their winning run.

Rennes are favoured for their Ligue 1 trip to Auxerre, but the hosts have won three of their four games at Stade de l'Abbe-Deschamps this term and could take something from the game.

Rennes have lost three of their first four away matches this season, conceding nine times, while Auxerre have already upset the odds at home, seeing off Reims, Nice and Brest, who are all above Rennes.

There’s plenty of value in taking Auxerre in the draw-no-bet market as Rennes have won just three of their nine Ligue 1 matches this term.

The Ligue 1 weekend wraps up with Marseille heading to Nantes. Roberto De Zerbi’s Marseille were blown away by PSG in a 3-0 home defeat last weekend, but they are capable of bouncing back.

Nantes are aiming to end a six-game winless run, having failed to win in their last three at home. They’re in the bottom half of the table without meeting any of the top four. Despite that, the mid-table side have lost three of their four clashes with teams above them.

OM have won four of their five games on the road and they look good value to bounce back with a victory.
