Ferencvaros v Tottenham predictions

Tottenham enhanced their status as Europa League favourites with a 3-0 home win over Qarabag on matchday one, despite having centre-back Radu Dragusin sent off in the seventh minute.

Poor finishing and a missed penalty from Qarabag helped Spurs avoid an embarrassing slip-up and they followed up with a 3-0 Premier League victory at Manchester United.

Bookmakers are taking few chances with Tottenham on their trip to Ferencvaros, who have won their first six top-flight matches in Hungary this season.

They have been less assured in Europe, losing to Midtjylland in Champions League qualifying and scraping past Europa League playoff opponents Borac Banja Luka on penalties before last week's 2-1 defeat at Anderlecht.

However, Spurs look short enough to take three points given that their last three European campaigns included away defeats to Milan, Sporting, Slovenia's Mura, Vitesse Arnhem, Pacos de Ferreira, Dinamo Zagreb and Antwerp as well as a 3-3 draw at LASK.

Tottenham have won their last four matches in all competitions but Sunday's trip to Brighton means Ange Postecoglou is likely to rest some first-team regulars, especially in midfield.

The Spurs boss has fewer striking options, with Richarlison injured and Heung-Min Son unlikely to be risked, so Dominic Solanke should lead the line again.

The striker, who scored 19 Premier League goals for Bournemouth last season, looks a solid each-way bet to score first in Budapest.

Solanke has notched in his last three outings, against Brentford, Qarabag and United, and can expect more chances as the focal point of an attack-minded Spurs side.
