Under 3 goals in the match

In what is sure to be a nervy occasion given the high rewards, goals may be in short supply.

England have yet to concede at Euro 2020 from open play - Denmark’s goal came from a superb Mikel Damsgaard free-kick - and their 4-0 rout of a mediocre Ukraine outfit in Rome is the only one of their six fixtures to reward backers of over 2.5 goals.

Italy, who are on a remarkable 33-game unbeaten run, are renowned for being defensively strong and three of their last four fixtures at Euro 2020 have featured two goals or fewer.

Under 10 corners in the match

With goals likely to be at a premium, corners may be too and that has certainly been the case with these two nations at Euro 2020.

Italy have forced just 28 corners across their six matches, which is an average of 4.6 per outing, while England have managed only 24.

There were just seven corners taken in the Azzurri’s semi-final showdown with Spain, while there were only six in regulation time of England’s extra-time triumph over the Danes.

Giovanni Di Lorenzo to be shown a card

No-nonsense Dutch referee Bjorn Kuipers has been rewarded with the final gig at Wembley and he looks likely to dish out a few cards.

Kuipers has handed out ten bookings from three appearances at Euro 2020, and Italy right-back Giovanni Di Lorenzo may be fearing the worst.

Di Lorenzo picked up 11 yellows from 36 starts for Napoli in Serie A this season and only Denmark’s Thomas Delaney has committed more fouls at Euro 2020 than his 11.

He was booked in the clash with Austria, should have been against Spain and now lines up opposite a red-hot Raheem Sterling.
