Team news

Germany
Lea Schuller is still working her way back to full fitness so Germany's Euro 2022 top scorer Alexandra Popp should once again lead the line.

France
France are still trying to find their best attacking combination in the absence of injured star Marie-Antoinette Katoto with Kadidiatou Diani, Melvine Malard and Delphine Cascarino expected to start as a front three again.

Preview

Eight-time champions Germany are one step away from another Women's European Championship final but to get there they must overcome an exciting France team on the up in a show-stopper of a semi-final at Stadium MK.

Expectations surrounding Germany were tempered coming into Euro 2022 after Die Nationalelf's underwhelming quarter-final exit at the last World Cup but they have proved their doubters wrong.

Germany have won all four of their matches in the tournament to nil, scoring at least twice in each of them including in a 2-0 defeat of ante-post favourites Spain in Group B.

After missing the last two European Championships through injury, Alexandra Popp has excelled up top, notching in all four of her team's matches, and they are a well-oiled machine which will take some stopping.

But France have also impressed, living up to the label of dark horses when beating Euro 2017 winners the Netherlands in the quarter-finals, having managed 33 shots in that game.

They will naturally miss Marie-Antoinette Katoto but are unbeaten in 18 matches in all competitions and should feel they can hold their own against the Germans.

Both sides play in 4-3-3 formations with quick transitions but punters are unlikely to see an all-out attacking spectacle if the majority of knockout matches at this tournament are anything to go by.

Either side would be worthy finalists and it would be no surprise to see them cancel one another out in 90 minutes with the match going to extra time or even penalties.

Back the draw in 90 minutes at 21-10.
