Tuesday's Championship and EFL Trophy predictions

Coleen Rooney came up just short in the I'm a Celebrity jungle and her husband Wayne may have to stomach a third straight Championship loss in the Plymouth dugout when Argyle welcome a fast-improving Swansea side to Home Park on Tuesday.

Heavy defeats away to Norwich (1-6) and Bristol City (0-4) have seen the Pilgrims drop into the bottom three and in desperate need of a boost.

Rooney and club took decisive action on Sunday, replacing Pete Shuttleworth with Mike Phelan as Rooney's assistant.

The arrival of Phelan, who was Sir Alex Ferguson's right-hand man at Manchester United during Rooney's time at Old Trafford, will bring a wealth of experience and should assist Argyle in their quest to remain in the second tier.

However, in the short term Rooney and Phelan face the tough task of trying to get the most out of a squad beset by injuries and short of confidence.

Brendan Galloway, Conor Hazard, Ibrahim Cissoko, Joe Edwards, Kornel Szucs, Morgan Whittaker and Muhamed Tijani all missed the dismal defeat at Bristol City on Saturday and a substantially below-strength Argyle may struggle to compete with Swansea, who are eyeing up a playoff push.

The Swans dominated large parts of Saturday's 1-1 draw at Luton but may have better luck in Devon.

Stockport manager Dave Challinor is preparing to send out a second-string side for County's EFL Trophy second-round tie at home to Bradford and the move could give the fourth-tier visitors a real shot of progression.

Bradford have gone through a sticky patch in League Two but they played well in Saturday's 1-1 draw at Crewe and could at least take Stockport beyond 90 minutes and to a penalty shootout.
