Swansea vs Leeds predictions
Championship title favourites Leeds resume after the international break in a position of power but their performances on the road have left plenty to be desired and they look in for a tough test at Swansea.
Leeds started the weekend in third, two points behind Sunderland and Sheffield United, having suffered only two defeats in their opening 15 league assignments.
However, Daniel Farke’s side have triumphed only twice in seven attempts away from fortress Elland Road, failing to oblige in any of their last four away league games.
Leeds have been unable to score in back-to-back away trips at Bristol City and Millwall and there is potential for them to be frustrated at Swansea, who boast the fifth best defence in the Championship despite being outside the top ten.
The Swans have conceded only ten times in 15 league outings and they have become pretty reliable on home soil, having suffered only one defeat in seven.
Swansea’s struggles have come in front of goal - they have scored only 11 times meaning their 15 matches have featured a total of only 21 goals.
Twelve of their 15 league assignments have gone under 2.5 goals and this could be another low-scoring affair with Leeds, who have also seen two goals or fewer in six of their seven road trips.
Four of Swansea’s last five at home have featured no more than one goal, and given Leeds have been breached only nine times in 15 outings, defences could dominate in what are set to be tricky playing conditions.
Key stat
Both teams have scored in only one of Swansea’s last eight Championship clashes.
