Plymouth vs West Brom predictions
Playoff hopefuls West Brom have been the Championship's draw specialists this term, sharing the spoils in 14 of their 29 league fixtures, but the Baggies should have enough quality to claim all three points on Saturday's trip to basement boys Plymouth.
Popular boss Tony Mowbray is two games into his second spell in charge of Albion and the change in approach has already been clear to see.
West Brom were a diligent and organised side who were hard to beat under previous boss Carlos Corberan, but Mowbray is happy to accept a greater element of risk as he chases the victories required to keep his side inside the top six.
Albion began Mowbray's second tenure with a 2-0 loss away to Middlesbrough, but there were some positive signs for the Baggies, who edged the shot count at the Riverside 15-14 and commanded a 58 per cent share of possession.
Four days later Mowbray was able to celebrate a fantastic 5-1 home win over Portsmouth, and he will be eager for his side to maintain that level of performance at Home Park on Saturday.
The 61-year-old has said his side will need to be resolute in Devon, but he is still unlikely to deviate from his favoured front-foot strategy and it should pay dividends against the EFL's leakiest defence.
Argyle, who are seven points adrift of safety, have conceded 62 league goals this season and were thumped 5-0 by Burnley in their last home outing.
They were much better in last weekend's 2-2 draw at promotion chasers Sunderland but the Pilgrims continue to ship far too many goals and may again pay the price against West Brom.
Key stat
Plymouth have conceded at least two goals in 11 of their last 14 league matches.
