Thursday's Conference League predictions

Shamrock Rovers vs The New Saints

The New Saints became the first Welsh side to pick up points in the group stage of a major European competition when they beat Astana last month, but a tougher test may await the Welsh champions against Ireland's Shamrock Rovers on Thursday.

Rovers, who were pipped to the League of Ireland title by Shelbourne at the weekend, thumped Larne 4-1 in their last Conference League game and are odds-on to get the better of the Saints.

Hearts vs Heidenheim

Neil Critchley has started to improve Hearts’ flagging fortunes since his arrival in October, winning three and drawing one of his first five games in charge.

The Jambos had experienced a nightmare start to the campaign prior to Critchley's arrival but Thursday's Conference League tie Bundesliga side Heidenheim will be the 46-year-old's biggest test yet.

Both teams have scored in seven of Hearts’ last nine matches while a bet on over 2.5 goals has obliged at the same rate, so it may be worth combining the two selections in what could be an entertaining affair at Tynecastle.

Chelsea vs Noah

Chelsea are as short as 1-50 to maintain their perfect start to their Conference League campaign against Armenian side Noah.

The Blues should face few problems and boss Enzo Maresca will no doubt have one eye on Sunday's clash with Arsenal, so expect a much-changed Chelsea line-up at Stamford Bridge.

Larne vs St Gallen

Larne are rooted to the foot of the Conference League standings and look likely to still be rock-bottom after their match against Swiss side St Gallen, who are a short price to bounce back from defeats against Fiorentina and Cercle Brugge.
