Wednesday's Champions League predictions
Shakhtar Donetsk vs Young Boys
Two sides yet to find the net in this season's Champions League meet in this clash, suggesting goals could be at a premium in Gelsenkirchen.
Both teams will be desperate to pick up a win soon – Shakhtar have one point while Young Boys have none – but neither look set to make it out of the league phase.
Bayern Munich vs Benfica
Bayern have bounced back in emphatic fashion following a 4-1 drubbing at Barcelona in their last Champions League outing, scoring 12 goals and conceding none while beating Bochum, Mainz and Union Berlin in their subsequent three games.
Harry Kane, unsurprisingly, was at the forefront of those victories, scoring three goals and creating three more to help the Bavarians recover from their heavy defeat in Catalonia.
Despite not winning a trophy, the England captain enjoyed a strong first season in Germany and has picked up where he left off, scoring 17 goals in 14 matches this term.
Kane has bagged five goals in his last two home appearances and netted four in Bayern's sole Champions League outing in Munich, suggesting he could help himself to at least a couple more against Benfica, who have managed just two clean sheets in 11 away games.
Feyenoord vs Red Bull Salzburg
Red Bull Salzburg have endured a miserable Champions League campaign and entered this round of fixtures as one of the six sides yet to pick up a point, and that is unlikely to change in Rotterdam.
The Austrian outfit have conceded nine goals while scoring none, despite having a favourable opening run against Sparta Prague, Brest and Dinamo Zagreb, and they look set to struggle against a Feyenoord side who have won six of their last seven games.
Brian Priske's men won at Girona and Benfica in their last two European outings and given they led at half-time in both of those victories, it could pay to back Feyenoord to dominate from start to finish against struggling Salzburg.
Paris St-Germain vs Atletico Madrid
Atletico Madrid were beaten 4-0 by inconsistent Benfica in their last Champions League away game, and they could be set for more trouble in the French capital.
Paris St-Germain are unbeaten at home this term, winning six times in that run, suggesting they can take three points against Atleti, although they may not score too many while doing so. Luis Enrique's men have netted just twice in their three Champions League games.
Red Star Belgrade vs Barcelona
Given Barcelona have won their last six matches by an aggregate score of 24-3 in a run which includes comprehensive victories over Bayern Munich and Real Madrid, it is difficult to envisage Red Star Belgrade, who have shipped 11 goals while losing their three Champions League matches, enjoying this visit from the La Liga leaders.
Sparta Prague vs Brest
Brest have made an excellent start to their debut Champions League campaign, winning two and drawing with Bayer Leverkusen in the other of their three games, and they will fancy their chances against a Sparta Prague side who have lost two of their last four home matches.
Stuttgart vs Atalanta
Despite winning the Europa League last term Atalanta have made a mixed start to their European endeavours, beating Shakthar 3-0 and earning a draw against Arsenal but also having to settle for a point at home to Celtic.
However, Gian Piero Gasperini's men will be full of confidence after routing Serie A leaders Napoli 3-0 on Saturday to extend their unbeaten run to eight games. They may have too much for Stuttgart, who were held to a draw by Sparta Prague in their last Champions League home game.
