Tuesday's Champions League predictions

PSV Eindhoven vs Girona

The Girona team who finished third in La Liga last season was swiftly broken up during the summer transfer window so it is no surprise to see them struggling in their maiden Champions League campaign.

They lost 1-0 to Paris St-Germain and 3-2 at home to Feyenoord in their first two games before a 2-0 win over bottom-of-the-table Slovan Bratislava but another defeat is likely at PSV Eindhoven.

The Dutch champions have drawn with Sporting and PSG in their last two outings and, having won 29 of their last 31 Eredivisie home games, they should be too slick for their visitors.

Slovan Bratislava vs Dinamo Zagreb

Slovan Bratislava have had a tough start to their campaign, losing 5-1 to Celtic, 4-0 to Manchester City and 2-0 to Girona, so Dinamo Zagreb, who won 2-0 away to Salzburg last time out, look worthy favourites.

Bologna vs Monaco

Monaco's early-season charge has been halted by back-to-back Ligue 1 defeats to Nice and Angers. They look set for a tight contest against Bologna, who have failed to score in a home draw with Shakhtar Donetsk and defeats at Liverpool and Aston Villa.

Borussia Dortmund vs Sturm Graz

Sturm Graz have suffered low-scoring defeats to Brest, Club Brugge and Sporting while hosts Borussia Dortmund have scored 12 goals in their first three matches.

BVB blew a 2-0 lead to lose 5-2 at Real Madrid on matchday three but thumped Celtic 7-1 in their first home game and should ease to another victory.

Lille vs Juventus

Lille beat Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid in their last two Champions League fixtures and in-form striker Jonathan David could give them the perfect start against Juventus.

The Canadian international scored three goals, two of them penalties, in the wins over the Madrid giants and David has also notched seven times in seven Ligue 1 starts this term.

Real Madrid vs Milan

Real Madrid have been stewing over their 4-0 home league defeat to Barcelona and they may take out their frustration on Milan, who are under pressure after early losses to Liverpool and Bayer Leverkusen.

The Rossoneri beat Club Brugge 3-1 in their last Champions League game but the Belgians managed to get on the scoresheet despite being reduced to ten men and Real's star-studded forwards should create plenty of chances.

The European champions have been uncharacteristically generous in defence, keeping only one clean sheet in their last nine matches in all competitions.

They beat Stuttgart 3-1 in their first Champions League home fixture and roared back from 2-0 down to thump Borussia Dortmund 5-2 on matchday three so an entertaining victory for the hosts is expected.
