Dinamo Zagreb vs Celtic predictions

Celtic have carried all before them domestically this season and Brendan Rodgers' Bhoys are also in with a real chance of reaching the knockout stage of the Champions League for the first time since the 2012-13 campaign ahead of their trip to Dinamo Zagreb.

A 7-1 hammering at Dortmund aside, Celtic are otherwise unbeaten this term and they have been in much better form in Europe since that chastening experience in Germany, drawing away to Italian highflyers Atalanta and beating RB Leipzig 3-1 at Parkhead.

Their 1-1 draw with Club Brugge last time out was disappointing but, nevertheless, Celtic have their fate in their own hands going into their last three group games.

And the recent performances of Dinamo Zagreb will give the Hoops plenty of confidence that they can further their hopes of progression on Tuesday.

Dinamo are without a win in their last five games and they have been on the receiving end of a couple of hidings in the Champions League, losing a record 9-2 to Bayern Munich on the opening matchday and 3-0 at home to Dortmund two weeks ago.

Zagreb have won two of their five league-phase assignments, although victories over RB Salzburg and Slovan Bratislava, who are both in the bottom five and have amassed a measly three points between them, is not exactly anything to shout about.

The Croatian hosts have failed to score in three of their last four outings, which is far from ideal against a dynamic Celtic team who have netted in all bar one of their 24 matches this season.

Rodgers has a full-strength squad at his disposal and he was able to limit the game time of some of his stars in Saturday’s 3-0 win over Hibernian, so the Bhoys should be fresh for their trip to Zagreb and they can move one step closer to the knockouts with a crucial away win.
