Tuesday's Champions League predictions

Atalanta vs Real Madrid

With three games of the Champions League league phase remaining, Real Madrid face the unthinkable prospect of missing out on a place in the knockout rounds.

Los Blancos head into the next matchday in 24th spot, which is the lowest position to secure a playoff berth, but they have a huge challenge on their hands when they visit Atalanta on Tuesday.

Atalanta have been firing on all cylinders this season and, following a nine-game winning run in all competitions, they are in contention to make the top eight in the Champions League and they lead the way in Serie A.

They can capitalise on Real Madrid's injury crisis in defence and are worth backing with the draw no bet.

Bayer Leverkusen vs Inter

Bayer Leverkusen have dug deep to reel off five straight wins in all competitions, including a German Cup triumph over Bayern Munich.

But with strikers Victor Boniface and Patrik Schick sidelined, they could be up against it when they face Inter.

Brest vs PSV

Brest are two points better off than PSV in the standings but the Eredivisie club have been relentless in attack, scoring 26 goals in their last six matches.

That run featured a 3-2 win over Shakhtar Donetsk and a 4-0 hammering of Girona and they can continue their fine run away to the Ligue 1 side, who have lost four of their last five contests.

Shakhtar Donetsk vs Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich have underperformed in this season's Champions League but wins over Benfica and PSG in their last two games have raised spirits at the club and they are fancied to ease past Shakhtar Donetsk.

Club Brugge vs Sporting Lisbon

Sporting Lisbon have fallen apart since Ruben Amorim left the club, losing 5-1 to Arsenal in the Champions League before back-to-back defeats in the Primeira Liga to Santa Clara and Moreirense.

They could again struggle on the road to Club Brugge, who beat Sturm Graz and Aston Villa in the Champions League before holding Celtic to a 1-1 draw.

Club Brugge's high press could help them to victory against a Sporting team low on confidence.

Salzburg vs PSG

PSG have won just one of their five games in the Champions League, but they can draw confidence from the fact their next opponents Salzburg lost 5-0 to Bayer Leverkusen on matchday five.
