Tuesday's Champions League predictions

Slovan Bratislava vs Milan

Milan stunned Real Madrid 3-1 at the Bernabeu on matchday four of the Champions League and the Rossoneri should be full of confidence heading into their next game against Slovan Bratislava, who are rock-bottom of the standings.

Sparta Prague vs Atletico Madrid

Sparta Prague have fallen apart in the Champions League since their 3-0 win over Salzburg, taking just one point from their subsequent three games in the competition, and they could be out of their depth against Atletico Madrid.

Barcelona vs Brest

Brest should be fearful of their matchday five opponents Barcelona, who have scored 14 goals in their last three Champions League matches and also hammered Real Madrid 4-0 in La Liga last month.

Bayer Leverkusen vs Salzburg

A muscular injury means Victor Boniface will miss Bayer Leverkusen's clash with Salzburg on Tuesday but they have an able deputy in Patrik Schick.

Schick took his chance to lead the Leverkusen line against Heidenheim on Saturday with both hands, scoring a hat-trick in a 5-2 win, and he netted five goals as the Bundesliga champions reached the final of the Europa League last term.

The Czech ace is a likely candidate to break the deadlock against Salzburg, who have shipped ten goals in this season's Champions League.

Bayern Munich vs PSG

European heavyweights Bayern Munich and PSG have ground to make up if they are to seal a top-eight finish in the new-look league phase.

Bayern are 17th and their French opponents 25th at the halfway stage, although Munich's resolute 1-0 win over Benfica on matchday four was their fourth victory of an ongoing six-game winning streak.

Always a tough nut to crack at their Allianz Arena home, Bayern could hold the edge over the French champions but PSG have scored seven goals in their last two matches and may get on the scoresheet in defeat.

Inter vs Leipzig

Leipzig have had an extremely tough time of it in the league phase, losing all four of their matches to Atletico Madrid, Juventus, Liverpool and Celtic.

A 4-3 loss to lowly Hoffenheim on Saturday suggests their domestic form is also starting to slide and they could be out of their depth away to Inter, who have accrued ten points and shut out Premier League pair Manchester City and Arsenal already this season.

The Nerazzurri are also fresh from a 5-0 thumping of Verona at the weekend and are worth backing to beat the Red Bulls by at least two goals.

Young Boys vs Atalanta

Atalanta are one of only two clubs yet to concede in this season's Champions League and they will hope their solid defence can see them over the line against struggling Swiss champions Young Boys.
