Arsenal 7-4 for top four after Anfield thrashing
Pressure back on Wenger after dismal start to the season
Arsenal's dismal start to the season got even worse with a 4-0 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield and they are 7-4 from 11-10 for a top-four finish.
The Gunners were second-best across the pitch as they lacked energy and were guilty of poor defending throughout.
Manager Arsene Wenger gave Alexis Sanchez his first start of the season but surprisingly left Frenchman Alexandre Lacazette on the bench.
However, Sanchez was replaced just after the hour mark along with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, adding to speculation that the pair may be on the move before the transfer window closes.
Ladbrokes go 7-4 that Sanchez completes a move to Manchester City this summer while it’s just evens that Oxlade-Chamberlain becomes a Liverpool player.
The pressure has also mounted on Wenger, although firms were at odds over whether he will last the season. Hills go 11-4 that the Frenchman is gone before the end of the season while Ladbrokes make his departure a 6-4 shot.
With the two Manchester clubs and Chelsea long odds-on to finish in the top four, Liverpool just edge Tottenham in the betting to make up the Champions League placings.
The Blues kept up their drive to retain the title with a comfortable 2-0 home win over Everton, as the Toffees suffered their first defeat of the campaign.
Tottenham are still waiting for their first Premier League win at Wembley as Burnley’s new signing Chris Wood struck a 90th-minute equaliser to cancel out Dele Alli’s strike.
Hills go 2-9 that Spurs break their duck next time out at the national stadium against Swansea on September 16.
West Brom and Stoke drew 1-1.
