BoyleSports World Grand Prix predictions

Luke Littler has taken the darting world by storm since reaching the final of the World Championship at the start of the year and the Nuke looks a value play to add the BoyleSports World Grand Prix to a prolific title-winning campaign.

The 17-year-old has landed the Premier League and World Series of Darts titles, as well as two Players Championship crowns, a brace of European Tour trophies and a pair of World Series events this season, and the Warrington arrowsmith is an almost boundless talent.

Of course, there are a whole host of top-level players in opposition at the World Grand Prix in Leicester, and Littler isn't yet a seeded player in the event. However, the draw looks fairly kind.

Rob Cross and Nathan Aspinall are the seeded duo in the Nuke's quarter of the tournament and neither of those rivals have been anywhere near their top form this term.

Littler is inside the top eight of the Pro Tour this season but that doesn't do justice to his explosive talent and offers of 7-2 do not appear to have caught up with the level of the 17-year-old's promise.

Chris Dobey has won three Players Championship events this season and the player nicknamed Hollywood has become a star of the tour.

The Bedlington boy has produced top-level performances on a consistent basis for some time and only the spellbinding performances of Gary Anderson have stopped the 34-year-old from topping the Pro Tour averages this term.

Anderson has to be worth consideration this week but at 33-1, it's difficult to bypass a bet on Dobey.

Hollywood has a Masters win on his record, the trajectory of his game is positive and the World Grand Prix draw looks favourable.

First-round opponent Joe Cullen has been in woeful form and there's enough in the price to account for a potential second-round game against Michael van Gerwen.

There are eight cracking first-round games to play on Monday and one standout wager.

Ryan Searle has lifted a Players Championship event this season and also made three PC finals while the Somerset thrower has also been flying on the European Tour.

At 8-11 Searle looks a good bet to see off Nathan Aspinall on Monday evening.
