Newly crowned world darts champion Luke Littler will be joined by some of the PDC's biggest names in this year's BetMGM Premier League.

Teenage superstar Littler is the defending Premier League champion, having won the title on his first attempt in 2024, and he is 6-4 favourite to retain the title he won at London's O2 Arena last May.

Littler, Luke Humphries, the man Littler succeeded as world champion, Alexandra Palace runner-up Michael van Gerwen and Rob Cross were already assured of taking half of the eight spots available due to their standing on the PDC's order of merit, with the remainder of the field being chosen by darts' head honchos.

The quartet are joined in the Premier League field by World Championship semi-finalists Stephen Bunting and Chris Dobey, 2021 world champion Gerwyn Price and PDC major winner Nathan Aspinall.

Two-time Premier League winner Gary Anderson, double world champion Peter Wright, 2023 Alexandra Palace victor Michael Smith and Jonny Clayton, the winner of the Premier League in 2021, were the most high-profile names to miss out on selection.
