Vicky Pruim is the pick at the Lakeside
Trina Gulliver is on the slide
BDO World Championship
BT Sport 1, 6.45pm Monday
In Monday's evening session there is a bet to be had in the women's first round in the shape of the resurgent Vicky Pruim.
After taking a ten-year hiatus from the world of darts the Belgian, who lives in Sweden, has returned in top form and has looked in great nick on the tour recently.
She takes on ten-time world champion Trina Gulliver and, while the Golden Girl has been knocking in some fair averages on the county circuit this year, she is not the same player who dominated in the early part of the century.
In the men's games, 2017 runner-up Dutch dartist Danny Noppert should have little trouble getting past late replacement Richie Edwards while Darryl Fitton makes his first outing and the useful Andy Baetens graces the Lakeside stage for the first time.
Recommendation
V Pruim
