Women's T20 World Cup final prediction
Only three nations have won the Women's T20 World Cup since its inaugural tournament in 2009 but a brand new champion will be crowned on Sunday, when South Africa clash with New Zealand in Dubai.
Six of the previous eight Women's T20 World Cups have gone the way of Australia but the Southern Stars were stunned in the semi-finals, losing to South Africa by eight wickets.
That was a historic and comprehensive victory for the Proteas, whereas New Zealand just edged West Indies by eight runs in the other semi-final.
It means South Africa go into the Women's T20 World Cup final as 4-7 favourites and the player markets are where punters may find the best value.
New Zealand's golden generation of Sophie Devine, Suzie Bates and Lea Tahuhu will be desperate to deliver in what is likely to be their last shot at international glory but the player to watch in this final is in the South Africa camp.
Few players lead by example as well as Proteas captain Laura Wolvaardt, who has struck 190 runs in five innings - more than any other player in the tournament.
She is ably supported by Tamzin Brits (170 runs) but Wolvaardt often rises to the occasion and top-scored for her country with 61 in the 2023 T20 World Cup final defeat to Australia.
She also finished top of the scoring charts in that tournament with 230 runs and the 25-year-old is worth backing in both the South Africa top runscorer and player-of-the-match markets in this groundbreaking final.
