Kent burgled a one-run victory over Sussex in their T20 Blast clash at Hove but the Spitfires may prove more comprehensive winners when the pair meet at Canterbury.

Sussex required seven runs off six balls before a final-over meltdown and Kent followed up with a convincing victory over holders Essex.

They are yet to put in a poor performance in the Blast, beating Surrey by five wickets, posting 209-5 in a tie with Middlesex, and taking charge of their opening game against Hampshire before rain denied them a win.

Hampshire, squeezed out by Sussex's bowlers in a 13-run defeat on Thursday evening, are 13-10 to beat Middlesex at Lord's.
