England Women vs West Indies Women prediction

West Indies must beat England in order to qualify for the Women's T20 World Cup semi-finals, but history is against the underdogs in Dubai.

England have won their last 13 T20 meetings with the Windies, including a comfortable seven-wicket victory at last year's World Cup, and they should seal top spot in Group B with a fourth win from four games.

Heather Knight's side, ante-post favourites for the section, produced a ruthless display in Sunday's ten-wicket rout of Scotland.

Openers Danni Wyatt-Hodge and Maia Bouchier shared an unbroken stand of 113 in exactly ten overs and they should be backed to outperform their West Indies counterparts.

The Windies started their campaign with a ten-wicket defeat to South Africa, whose openers Laura Wolvaardt and Tazmin Brits both scored unbeaten half-centuries.

Scotland dismissed West Indies openers Hayley Matthews and Stafanie Taylor for eight and four in their second game and the influential Taylor is a doubt after retiring hurt due to a knee problem against Bangladesh last time out.

Wyatt-Hodge made 35 against New Zealand in England's final warm-up fixture before scores of 41, 43 and 51 not out in Group B and she can give her side another strong start.

The Windies may have the edge in terms of six-hitting and Deandra Dottin is worth backing to clear the ropes more than any other batter in the match.

Dottin thumped two sixes against Scotland in Dubai and struck another two maximums in her unbeaten 19 off just seven deliveries against Bangladesh.
