England Women vs South Africa Women prediction

England Women had to work hard for their opening 21-run win over Bangladesh at the Women's T20 World Cup and they face a tricky contest against South Africa on Monday.

South Africa were rated the main dangers to England in Group B and they began their campaign with a thumping ten-wicket victory against the West Indies.

Spinner Nonkululeko Mlaba claimed 4-29, having taken only seven wickets in her last 15 T20 internationals, while openers Laura Wolvaardt (59 not out) and Tazmin Brits (57 not out) sealed an emphatic win.

The South Africa openers also starred in last year's six-run win over England in the T20 World Cup semi-final in Cape Town.

They shared a stand of 96 and Brits, who top-scored with 68 off 55 balls that day, should be backed to make 15 or more runs in Sharjah.

She has done well against the top teams this year, scoring 59 not out and 41 against Australia in January and 81, 52 and 20 against India in Chennai in July.

England's spinners defended a modest total of 118-7 against Bangladesh in Sharjah on Saturday but South Africa seamer Marizanne Kapp should also pose a threat.

She was superb against the Windies in Dubai, taking the big wickets of Hayley Matthews and Deandra Dottin and conceding only 14 runs in four overs.
