Bangladesh Women vs England Women prediction

England Women start their T20 World Cup campaign against Bangladesh in Sharjah and the betting suggests Heather Knight's side should win comfortably.

Bangladesh are 7-1 to upset England, whose main Group B rivals South Africa hammered the West Indies by ten wickets in their opening fixture on Friday.

The Tigresses also have a victory on the board, beating Scotland by 16 runs on Thursday despite patchy batting and fielding displays.

Bangladesh crawled to 119-7 batting first against the Scots, who let their opponents off the hook by dropping three straightforward catches, and England should be more ruthless in the field.

England spinner Sophie Ecclestone was the leading wicket-taker in last year's T20 World Cup and is top of the ICC's T20 and ODI bowling rankings.

But opposing batters should not underrate classy leg-spinner Sarah Glenn, who is worth backing to take two or more wickets.

She claimed 14 scalps in seven home T20s against Pakistan and New Zealand this summer and should be even more of a threat on a spin-friendly Sharjah pitch.
