Fury vs Usyk 2 bet builder predictions
The wait is almost over as Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk will clash for the second time in Saturday's heavyweight showdown at Riyadh's Kingdom Arena.
The undisputed championship isn’t on the line in this second meeting as Usyk vacated the IBF belt, with Daniel Dubois the new holder, but that matters little as the top two heavyweights collide again.
There are plenty of ways to bet on the big event and combining a few selections into a bet builder is one way to put together a big price option and we’ve taken a look at the options available with Paddy Power, who are offering enhanced odds on both fighters.
Oleksandr Usyk to Win & both Fighters to be Knocked Down at 9-1
Usyk scored a knockdown and won the first fight, an incident in the ninth round which proved crucial as he won via split decision with one judge scoring the fight in Fury’s favour.
Both fighters will have to switch up their tactics in this rematch as Fury knows the same strategy probably won’t be enough to avenge the defeat even if he does avoid being knocked down, while Usyk will have to respond to any changes in game plan.
We may see a more aggressive Fury and greater concentration from the Briton after a bit of unnecessary and poorly judged showboating in the first bout. The Gypsy King has stressed he is gunning for a knockout in the rematch – and we’ve already seen Usyk has the power to rock his opponent.
Both fighters have a better idea of what they’re up against in this rematch so it is unlikely to be too cagey at the start. Fury has pulled himself off the canvas and finished a number of fights over the course of his career and Usyk looks capable of doing the same even if he hasn’t been in that position before.
It still makes sense to side with an Usyk win, however, as his movement and stamina give him key advantages over Fury.
A Knockdown in Rounds 1 & 12 at 250-1
This boxing bet builder one is 250-1 for a reason and small stakes are advised here, but it isn’t beyond the realms of possibility either.
Fury came flying out of the corner in his second meeting with Deontay Wilder after their first fight ended in a draw.
He scored his first knockdown in that contest in round three, and the Briton may well come to the conclusion that his best chance against Usyk is to get the job done early before the Ukrainian’s stamina starts to make a difference.
An all-action first round should give both men openings, and if both are still standing by the 12th that round could turn into a real scrap.
