Artur Beterbiev vs Dmitry Bivol prediction

The old adage of styles make fights could come into play at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh on Saturday as knockout specialist Artur Beterbiev faces master technician Dmitry Bivol in a light heavyweight unification showdown.

Beterbiev has won all 20 of his fights inside the distance but in 23-0 Bivol he faces the toughest assignment of his incredible career.

Despite holding three of the four titles that are up for grabs, Beterbiev enters the bout as the slight underdog, and if he is to claim the victory, he needs to find a way to limit the distance and turn this contest into a close-up battle. That would be a fantastic spectacle, but Bivol is too slick and too skilled to be drawn into a firefight.

The Kyrgyzstan-born Russian has perfected the Soviet Style, and with his constant up-and-down movement, accurate leaping-left-hook and reliable jab he could be a puzzle that proves too tricky to work out for Beterbiev.

Bivol is one of the few fighters who can claim to have outboxed Canelo, albeit in a fight where the Mexican was jumping up in weight, and his skillset should be enough to nullify the power Beterbiev offers. Neither man has ever been stopped so this one looks set to go the distance, and a points win for Bivol looks the best bet.

Wardley vs Clarke predictions

Fabio Wardley and Frazer Clarke’s rematch could be the most explosive bout on the undercard after their brutal first encounter in London in March.

Somehow that fight lasted the full 12 rounds, ending in a split decision draw, but both men were perhaps lucky to reach the final bell.

Clarke was sent to the canvas late on in the fifth but managed to recover, while Wardley was clinging on in the 12th.

Both fighters may feel the need to take the issue out of the judges’ hands here so the standout bet is the fight not to go the distance at what seems a generous 4-6.

Beterbiev vs Bivol undercard predictions

Elsewhere on the undercard, Chris Eubank Jr knows he has to make a statement against Kamil Szeremeta.

The Briton looks a level above the Pole and can claim a stoppage, but the better value is backing two or more Eubank Jr knockdowns as he’s recorded six knockdowns in total across his last three fights – despite winning just one of those inside the distance.

The same bet stands out for Ben Whittaker in his bout with the durable Liam Cameron. Whittaker doesn’t carry huge power but the volume of shots he lands could be an issue for Cameron, who may struggle to match the pace of one of British boxing’s rising stars.

Jack Massey is also in action as he bids to wins the IBF cruiserweight title but the Derbyshire fighter is as big as 12-1 to shock Australia's Jai Opetaia.

Who is on the Beterbiev vs Bivol undercard?

Fabio Wardley vs Frazer Clarke II – British heavyweight title
Jai Opetaia vs Jack Massey – IBF cruiserweight title
Chris Eubank Jr vs Kamil Szeremeta – Middleweight
Skye Nicolson vs Raven Chapman – WBC featherweight title
Ben Whittaker vs Liam Cameron – light heavyweight
Mohammed Alakel vs Jesus Gonzalez – lightweight
