Fired-up Gers could get their revenge on Old Firm rivals

Sky Sports Main Event, midday Sunday

Rangers can grab the spoils in as close as it gets to a meaningless Old Firm game.

With Celtic having clinched their eighth successive title, the only controversies left have been Rangers' refusal to give Celtic the traditional guard of honour.

All eyes will be on Celtic captain Scott Brown, who will very much be a marked man following his antics after the last game at Parkhead.

Rangers have been in fine form and will be fired-up to try to complete an Ibrox double. It will matter little now, but it will be viewed as vitally important for Steven Gerrard to try to put down some kind of marker for next term.

The loss of keeper Allan McGregor due to his idiotic sending-off against Hibs last week shouldn't make a huge difference with experienced replacement Wes Foderingham between the sticks.

In-form Jermain Defoe is likely to get the nod over Alfredo Morelos and the Rangers engine room is in fine form.

Neil Lennon will certainly demand a performance from the champions, but their main target will be the William Hill Scottish Cup Final in two weeks' time and their focus will be on that.

Gerrard will be desperate to offer some hope for next season to the Rangers fans and they look overpriced at 2-1 to win.
