Ladbrokes Scottish Premiership and SFL playoffs: betting preview, odds & tips

Cove Rangers can seal their league place in style

Berwick Rangers could claim a valuable victory at Shielfield Park

From 12.30pm Saturday

Cove Rangers should celebrate promotion to Ladbrokes League Two in style by battering Berwick again.

The Highland League champions won last Saturday's first leg in Aberdeen 4-0, but it could easily have been double that, such was their superiority.

And although there have been plenty of footballing miracles this season, it's highly unlikely Scotland's only English-based club will produce one in the return leg at Shielfield Park.

In fact, bookies are taking a risk by offering John Sheran's side at odds of around evens.

There's no chance of ambitious Cove taking their foot off the gas and Berwick's problems have been well documented - they struggle to score and look like conceding every time opponents attack. Their last eight games, all defeats, have seen them concede 26 goals and score none.

It's a huge shame a club with their history - they are responsible for arguably the most famous Scottish Cup upset of all time when they defeated Rangers 1-0 in 1967 - should have been so badly mismanaged and lost from the league, but punters should show zero sentimentality to that and back Cove accordingly.

Motherwell are a tough nut to crack at their Fir Park home and they can end their season with a home win against Livingston.

The Lanarkshire side hammered Livi 3-0 on their last meeting at this venue and the West Lothian side have yet to win a game after the split. They even managed to lose at home to Dundee last week and although they have overachieved this season, there are signs that they would be happy for the campaign to end.

Clyde can overturn a 1-0 deficit in their Ladbrokes League One playoff final with Annan.

Danny Lennon's side were unable to break down the well-organised defence of the Galabankies in the first leg.

Annan have been a revelation this season and manager Peter Murphy was rewarded with a two-year deal.

But the Bully Wee have twice beaten Annan this season at Broadwood and with captain and talisman David Goodwillie up front, they should have enough to see off Annan.
