New British sprint star ready to sparkle in Amsterdam final

The men’s 200m semi-finals at the European Championships in Amsterdam see the big guns take their first strides in the competition, and British fans get to see new sprint sensation Nethaneel Mitchell-Blake in international action.
The 22-year-old has been in hot form while studying at Louisiana State University, picking up an NCAA title in May and clocking 19.95 seconds, making him the second-fastest British 200m sprinter of all time.
London-born, Mitchell-Blake has spent nearly half his life on the western side of the Atlantic, having moved to Jamaica at the age of 13, but said: “I’ve always thought of myself as British.”
