Took keen hold, tracked leaders, ridden over 2f out, narrow lead over 1f out, good battle after, just prevailed (trainer said regarding apparent improvement in form that the filly had been very green in her previous races and has been improving throughout the year.)
Unseated rider coming on to the course, started slowly, held up and last to halfway, still well in rear 2f out, progress over 1f out, took 3rd final furlong and closed on leading pair, too much to do (op 11/1 tchd 14/1)
Held up, last from halfway, left behind and well detached 3f out, started to run on 2f out, ridden over 1f out, closed on leaders final furlong, far too much to do (jockey said regarding running and riding that his instructions were to drop in and get the gelding into a rhythm but he felt that gelding failed to handle the slightly softer ground rounding the home bend. He added that the gelding lost its action and he therefore took his time before asking for his effort approaching the two-furlong marker, where the gelding was slightly intimidated by a runner drifting right-handed in front of him. then ran on when he reached the better ground. The trainer stated that the rider had ridden to instructions but, in hindsight, the gelding may have benefited from having been ridden more prominently in a slowly run race.)
