Pulled hard most of way, mid-division, headway to track leaders 2nd, led 5th, kept finding when challenged approaching 2 out, headed last, kept on but no extra (jockey said filly ran too free)
Not always fluent, held up, headway after 4th, tracked leaders 3 out, ridden and every chance between last 2, held in close 4th when awkward last, kept on same pace (op 5/1)
Led until 5th, tracked leader, ridden approaching 2 out, held between last 2, faded run-in (broke blood vessels) (jockey said mare bled from the nose) (op 8/1)
Raced keenly, held up, hung left from 6th, midfield 3 out, stayed on same pace from next (an enquiry was held into the running and riding of the mare. the rider and the trainer were interviewed and shown recordings of the race; the veterinary officer reported a post-race examination of the mare failed to reveal any abnormalities. the rider stated that his instructions were get her covered up on this, her first run over hurdles, get her to drop her head and to finish the race as she has been very keen at home. he added that the mare failed to settle for the first circuit, then jumped left-handed in the back straight and hung left-handed off the bend and was tired in the home straight so he felt it prudent to hold her together. the trainer confirmed the instructions further stating she is very free and keen at home, and had been very moderate when running on the flat. He further added that he would consider running her left-handed on her next run)
