However he added that the gelding had made two bad mistakes at the fourth last and again at the third last hurdle, and felt that it was in the geldings best interest to hold him together and give a hands and heels ride. He further added that the gelding had become very tired after the third last and that in his opinion he had obtained the best possible placing. The trainer's representative stated the ride accorded with his instructions and that he was satisfied with the manner in which the gelding had been ridden.)
