Held up and behind, headway 3 out, chased winner before next, stayed on same pace flat (jockey said, regarding running and riding, that his orders were to get the gelding settled as it has been very keen at home in its work, and to ensure that it finished the race off strongly, he restrained it early to ensure it got cover and relaxed, he was happy with its jumping and the fact that it had settled nicely throughout, approaching the home turn it was creeping into the race stylishly, and his intention was to slipstream Arabian Revolution for as long as possible before picking it off late on, however, between the last two he commenced to squeeze it along hand and heels, feeling he was in a winning position, but having landed awkwardly after jumping the last, it peaked on its run and was beaten on merit) (op 11/2)
