He said his mount jumped the first flight big and he found himself further behind than he would have liked. He said he held onto his mount until he jumped the second last becasue he felt the runners were going plenty fast enough and expected them to come back to him but admitted that the horses did not come back as expected and he misjudged the pace. The trainer confirmed these instructions and stated he was happy with the ride, adding the horse in quirky and if things do not go well for him early he does not put the effort in.) | ||||||||||
