Big Bad Bob (IRE) |
||||||||||
Chased leaders in 3rd, went 2nd 2f out, led approaching final furlong and soon ridden clear, stayed on well, comfortably (trainers rep said regarding apparent improvement in form that the gelding disappointed at Dundalk when making his reappearance over the longer distance of about 1m3f after a seven month break, whereas his most recent run at Roscommon was an improvement on Dundalk but he broke slowly, was dropped in and stayed on well. He added that C.D. Hayes suggested after the race at Roscommon that their charge should be fitted with blinkers to sharpen him. In his opinion the application of blinkers and reverting back to one mile were the contributing factors to the improved performance.) (op 6/1) | ||||||||||
