Attempted to make all, joined before 4 out, narrow advantage from next, strongly pressed from 2 out and headed last, ridden and no extra run-in, kept on (tchd 11-10)
Tracked leader in close 2nd, took keen hold, on terms before 4 out, headed from next and soon no extra into straight, kept on same pace (jockey said, regarding running and riding, that his orders were to get a lead if possible and do his best, the gelding ran a little keen early, but having got a lead early on, it moved up alongside the leader at halfway, at that point it began to lean to the left and and did so until turning for home, it lost ground trying to get round the bend, he pushed out with hands and heels and never felt he could improve his finishing position as it was not going as well as the two leaders; vet said gelding had a wolf tooth left side of mouth.) (op 12-1 tchd 8-1)
