They interviewed the rider. They also received a report from the Veterinary Officer who confirmed that a post-race examination of the filly, during routine testing, failed to reveal any abnormalities that would have affected its performance. The rider stated his instructions were to drop out in last and come with a late run as the filly has a tendency to pull up when in front, tactics successfully employed when riding DUCHESS OF MARMITE (IRE) in the past. He added that having initially asked the filly for an effort he was denied a clear run between MIDTECH STAR (IRE) and PRECISION FIVE inside the two furlong marker. He further added that he then had to switch off the heels of MIDTECH STAR (IRE) approaching a furlong out and, once clear, the filly ran on strongly to the line.
