Took keen hold and taken very steadily in rear, lost touch before 3 out, soon tailed off, hacked on (the mare's running and riding was looked into. Nick Scholfield stated his instructions were to drop her in to try and get her settled and then do his best. He added that she veered right at the start but settled after half a mile. He was concerned not to chase her along in the back straight as she has a tendency to tense up under pressure and therefore waited until the home straight until making his effort. At this point she found nothing when asked and as she was already detached from the rest he felt it prudent to get her home safely. Polly Gundry stated that the ride accorded with her instructions. The explanations were noted.) (op 150/1) | ||||||||||
