Robbie Wilders' play of the day at Wolverhampton
Make Love
James Horton has an eyecatchingly strong 38 per cent strike-rate at Wolverhampton (£8 profit to £1 stakes) and might be up to increasing that in the 7f nursery (7.00) with Make Love.
The daughter of Make Believe debuted in a hot Doncaster maiden in June that has thrown up three subsequent winners, including Group 2 scorer Arabian Dusk, and this filly has shown steady improvement since her seventh-placed finish on Town Moor.
She was heavily backed into 5-4 favouritism for her second outing at Lingfield, and while she couldn't justify the support when nabbed late by a 33-1 shot, the winner is now rated 98 after placing in a Sandown Listed contest.
Make Love, who was again sent off the market leader for her third start at Newmarket, finished nicely into fourth despite not getting the clearest of runs and seems a certainty to rate higher than an opening mark of 73.
She is closely related to several Group performers who improved with time and experience, and she can control this under Adam Farragher.
