Robbie Wilders' play of the day at Southwell
Who's Glen
The Racing League draws to a close with a tricky card at Southwell and fingers crossed Who's Glen can get things off to a flyer in the opening 1m4f handicap (5.45).
Who's Glen has been steadily progressive this season since being turned over at odds of 1-2 in a Wolverhampton novice in June, being undone by a slow pace over a much shorter trip.
It's been much more like it from Who's Glen in recent times since he's been stepped up to middle distances and he made an encouraging handicap debut at Newcastle seven days ago.
It paid to be prominent in that and the first three got first run on this son of Gleneagles, who kept on nicely from off the pace into fourth.
It's no surprise he wants a test over this distance as his dam was a Munster Oaks winner a few years ago, and it's likely we're only just scratching the surface with him ahead of his fifth start.
Andrew Balding excels with this sort of slow-burning type, his exploits with the same owner's progressive handicapper Fairbanks this term springing to mind, and Who's Glen can reverse recent form with the reopposing La Pulga.
