Robbie Wilders' play of the day at Chelmsford
Arabian Rose
8.00 Chelmsford
There are a couple of well-bred sorts representing top connections who take the eye on Chelmsford's card, starting with the Simon and Ed Crisford-trained Arabian Rose in the fillies' mile handicap.
The daughter of Too Darn Hot is a half-sister to Sun Chariot third Grand Dame and her other relative to make the track recorded a career-high RPR of 90.
With an opening BHA rating of 63, Arabian Rose clearly hasn't achieved anything worthwhile just yet, but her final start in maiden company in a first-time tongue-tie 108 days ago was a fair improvement on her first two runs and that aid is back in place.
She has also been sent for wind surgery since then. If any underlying breathing issues have been rectified, Arabian Rose could prove a cut above this level with the return to a mile looking in her favour, while the Crisfords are showing a £20.97 level-stakes profit with handicap debutants over the last five seasons.
