Robbie Wilders' play of the day at Beverley

Emaraaty Ana

3.20 Beverley

This time seven days ago I quite fancied Emaraaty Ana to go well in Newbury’s World Trophy before the ground went against him and he wasn’t declared, so this much weaker contest looks an outstanding chance for the former Sprint Cup winner.

Emaraaty Ana isn’t operating at the level he was for Kevin Ryan a couple of seasons ago, but there has been sufficient evidence since he joined Jamie Osborne to suggest he can win races.

This is a mini re-run of the Beverley Bullet last month as Emaraaty Ana, a close third there behind in-form sprinters Democracy Dilemma and Albasheer when sent off the outsider of seven, renews rivalry with last-place finisher Clarendon House over the same track and trip.

Clarendon House can be opposed as he's developed the unfortunate habit of completely throwing things away upon leaving the stalls.

A first-time visor will have to work if his fortunes are transformed, but he can’t be trusted even with the new headgear, and the early market is giving him too much respect relative to a resurgent sprinter who gets 7lb rather than the 3lb he received in the Bullet.

Take out Emaraaty Ana’s sub-par showing in the Queensferry Stakes at Chester when conditions went against him last month and he has shown plenty to work on for Osborne.

He finished midfield in Group 1 sprints at Meydan and Royal Ascot in two of his last four starts and this looks an open goal providing conditions don't ease too much.

Tees Spirit, whose tearaway style is similar to that of front-running Bullet winner Democracy Dilemma, can tee things up perfectly for Emaraaty Ana.
