Paul Kealy's play of the day at Chepstow

Big Time Rascal

2.30 Chepstow

In Chepstow's opener (2.30) there are a few old favourites running off marks miles below their former best, although for good reason, and the race may turn out to be between three-year-old pair Revenue and Big Time Rascal.

Revenue is the likely favourite having run much the better of the pair last time out when second at Bath, while Big Time Rascal dwelt at the start at Windsor and ran much too keenly afterwards.

He is worth a second chance in a first-time hood, though, as he'd shown more than enough ability to win a race of this nature off a mark of 70 when a length second off levels to Mutamanni at Brighton the time before, the pair having pulled well clear.

The winner won a handicap off a mark of 80 next time out, while the third, who was receiving 5lb, carried a mark of 76 at the time, so there is a strong case to saying Big Time Rascal has a nice rating to go to war with on what is only his second handicap start.
