Harry Wilson's play of the day at Carlisle
Stash The Cash
There will be plenty of give in the ground at Carlisle and that will be perfect for a couple of runners who I've been wanting to get back on a softer surface.
The first is Stash The Cash, who tackles the 5f handicap off a mark 2lb lower than when winning in heavy ground at Catterick in April.
He won that Class 6 handicap by three and a quarter lengths, and it looks strong form for the grade, with the runner-up and the third winning twice each since.
Although unsuccessful since, he has raced solely on quicker ground and had all but one run in better races, including when chasing home subsequent Royal Ascot winner Pilgrim in a Class 4 handicap at Musselburgh in June.
He'll benefit from returning to 5f and dropping back into Class 6 company, while any further rain would only enhance his chance.
