Graeme Rodway's play of the day at Hexham
Robert D'Ores
Hexham is regularly named among the most picturesque racecourses in Britain, and the track's last meeting of the year has attracted plenty of runners. That makes it an attractive betting card, and it looks like trainer George Bewley might have lined up a few at a venue where he regularly has success.
Bewley has saddled more winners at Hexham than at any other course in Britain in the last five seasons and sends five runners to the Northumberland track. His best chance comes in the 2m7½f handicap hurdle (2.20), in which Robert D’Ores could go one better than last time.
Robert D’Ores was beaten only a neck into second on his first run after a break over course and distance last month, with the front two seven lengths clear of the remainder.
That was also his first start following wind surgery, so there should be plenty more to come from him with that outing under his belt, and a 4lb rise in the weights might not stop him.
