There is a good meeting at Chepstow and Royal Mer looks like the best bet on the card now that he returns to fences in the 2m3½f handicap chase. He had a spin over hurdles on his reappearance at Newton Abbot last month and will come on for that.

Royal Mer won five times over fences last season and his first victory came over this far at Ffos Las. His last three victories came over shorter, but he has more to offer back up in trip.
