Zero Ten the only Ten To Follow winner of the week as standings remain unchanged
The challenge for the Tote Ten to Follow (TTF) top spot looks like it may have run its course with the suspension of British racing, meaning only the remaining Irish cards can stop leader 'Ping Ponger 61' landing the £177,961 first prize.
A spectacular Cheltenham Festival haul of seven wins and two seconds means the leader has a 14.3 point cushion with six weeks of Irish cards all that stands in their way.
The Irish Grand National on April 13, along with two Grade 1 contests at Fairyhouse, could be key for any other stables making a last-gasp surge for the lead.
Although with the cancellation of Aintree's Grand National meeting, which often attracts a number of the top Irish horses, it could mean a number of high profile runners take their chance in alternative races back home.
In the past week, Emmet Mullins’ Zero Ten was the only horse to claim any TTF points with victory in the Grade 3 Pierce Molony Memorial Novice Chase at Thurles on Saturday.
The seven-year-old was selected by 216 stables, though his win does not affect the top 20 in the current leaderboard.
The TTF competition is set to continue until its original closing date, April 25, with Irish racing continuing behind closed doors.
