Who remains in contention to run on British Champions Day at Ascot on Saturday?
Kyprios will be a notable absentee at Ascot on Saturday after the star stayer failed to feature among the confirmations for British Champions Day.
Trainer Aidan O'Brien left the Qipco Long Distance Cup (1.25) open as a possibility for the four-year-old following victory in the Prix du Cadran but will likely instead send Kyprios back to Longchamp for the Prix Royal-Oak at Longchamp on October 23.
His absence leaves 14 entries in Ascot's 2m contest headed by Trueshan, who is seeking a hat-trick in the Group 2.
Baaeed and Adayar remain in contention for a highly anticipated showdown in the Qipco Champion Stakes (4.00), with ten horses confirmed for Britain's richest race.
Vadeni, who was a general 17-2 third favourite before confirmations on Monday, was not confirmed for Saturday's contest following his second-placed finish in the Arc. The Aga Khan colt will race next season as a four-year-old.
Vadeni's trainer Jean-Claude Rouget will also be without short-priced fancy Erevaan on Saturday in the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes (3.20), with ten confirmed for the mile contest.
The Simon and Ed Crisford-trained Jadoomi was supplemented for the race and could take on market leader Inspiral, French challenger The Revenant and Godolphin's international Group 1 star Modern Games.
The Qipco British Champions Sprint Stakes (2.00) attracted 19 entries, with Ascot specialist Rohaan and last year's winner Creative Force set to feature.
The Hugo Palmer-trained Ebro River and Flaming Rib were scratched from the race, with Palmer relying on Group 2 winner Brad The Brief.
A potential field of 17 remain in the Qipco British Champions Fillies & Mares Stakes (2.40), with John and Thady Gosden confirming leading fancies Emily Upjohn and Mimikyu.
Group 1 winner Above The Curve, who had been a general 7-1 chance for Joseph O'Brien, was not confirmed for the 1m4f race.
