Monday

It's not your usual quiet start to the week as it's St Patrick's Day with meetings at Wexford and Down Royal.

The feature race at Down Royal is the 3m2f conditions chase (3.37), in which Favori De Champdou, who has finished second in the Thyestes Chase and Punchestown Grand National Trial on his last two starts, faces three rivals.

At Wexford, Majestic Force, who was fifth in last year's Mares' Novices' Hurdle behind Champion Hurdle heroine Golden Ace, bids for a first win over fences in the 3m1½f beginners' chase (3.55).

In Britain, the action comes from Fontwell, Southwell and Wolverhampton. Entries for Saturday's Ladbrokes Go North finals, supported by the Racing Post, at Kelso will be revealed.

Tuesday

The biggest event comes off the track as it's the latest scratchings stage for the Randox Grand National (4.00) at Aintree on April 5.

Cheltenham Gold Cup hero Inothewayurthinkin is red-hot favourite for the world's most famous steeplechase, for which 81 horses are in contention.

The afternoon action comes over jumps at Exeter and Wetherby before an evening all-weather card from Wolverhampton.

Wednesday

Haydock stages a seven-race jumps card and the most intriguing contest could be the 3m4½f Tim Molony Handicap Chase (4.25). Entries include Your Own Story, runner-up in the race two years ago before being sent off joint-favourite for that year's Scottish Grand National.

There is also a jumps card at Huntingdon before an all-weather evening meeting from Southwell. The final fields for the opening day of Go North finals weekend at Musselburgh on Friday will also be confirmed.

Thursday

The final fields for Saturday will be revealed, including the second day of the Go North finals weekend at Kelso and a competitive card at Newbury.

Mywayofthinkin, a half-brother to Inothewayurthinkin, bids for another success in Cork's 2m4f handicap hurdle (3.37). The six-year-old, like the Gold Cup hero, is owned by JP McManus and bred by his wife Noreen.

The other meetings are at Sedgefield, Chepstow, Ludlow and Newcastle.

Friday

It's the start of the three-day Ladbrokes Go North finals, supported by the Racing Post, which celebrates some of the best the region has to offer and kicks off at Musselburgh.

There are four finals races on the card, the Grey Bomber (3.20), Lady Buttons (3.50), Brindisi Breeze (4.25) and Sea Pigeon (5.00), offering £120,000 prize-money.

There is also jumps action at Ffos Las and Newbury, before evening meetings at Dundalk and Southwell.

Saturday

The ITV cameras head to Kelso for the second day of Go North finals weekend, with the Cab On Target (3.00), Herring Queen (3.35) and Jodami (5.20) finals the highlights. There's also a Listed 3m2f mares' hurdle (2.25) on the seven-race card.

Newbury stages its final jumps meeting of the season before its attention turns to the Flat. The feature is the 2m4½f Grade 2 mares' novice hurdle (3.15), as well as the Goffs Hundred Grand Bumper (4.25), won last year by Regent's Stroll.

ITV also broadcasts a race from Bangor, the 2m3½f handicap hurdle (1.35), while there are evening all-weather meetings at Wolverhampton and Newcastle.

The action in Ireland is in the form of a jumps card at Navan.

Sunday

A great weekend of racing in the north concludes at Carlisle with the Go North finals closing the three-day bonanza. The £30,000 One Man, Red Rum and Monet's Garden finals take centre stage. There is also a jumps card at Exeter.

In Ireland, Naas stages a Flat card featuring the Devoy Stakes, while there is also a jumps meeting from Limerick.
