What's on this week: jumps clues across the tracks before Jonbon bids to make history on a blockbuster Saturday at Sandown

Monday

Champion jockey Harry Cobden is at Plumpton while Wolverhampton has a nine-race all-weather card, while elsewhere entries for Saturday's action are revealed in the afternoon with the weekend highlights including the Grade 1 Tingle Creek and Henry VIII Novices' Chase.

It is also the big day in the racing media with the Horserace Writers and Photographers Association (HWPA) awards taking place in London. The Racing Post team is well represented with Lee Mottershead, Patrick Mullins and Peter Thomas taking on Donn McClean for the Racing Writer of the Year award.

Tuesday

The likes of Enable and Stradivarius began their careers on the all-weather at Newcastle and the John and Thady Gosden yard unleashes an exciting talent in Ashmolean in the north-east. The Frankel two-year-old is out of Group 1 winner Coronet and starts his career in the mile novice stakes (4.00).

Champion Bumper fifth Fishery Lane is among the potential runners at Clonmel in a maiden hurdle (1.35) with British jumps action at Lingfield and Southwell.

Off the track, weights are revealed for the Coral Welsh National and Cheltenham's December Gold Cup.

Wednesday

Cloudy Glen and Good Boy Bobby are on course for Haydock on Wednesday for a veterans' handicap chase (2.50), while 14 of the 19 runners are winners in the entries for the 1m7½f introductory hurdle (2.15). Jumps racing also takes place at Ludlow.

Group winner Poker Face is a notable name in Kempton's Hyde Stakes (7.10), while the Winter Oaks Trial (1.20) takes place at Lingfield, where hat-trick-seeking Charlotte's Web heads the weights. Dundalk is the third all-weather track in action on Wednesday.

It is also the International Jockeys' Championship in Hong Kong where the likes of Ryan Moore, William Buick, Hollie Doyle and Colin Keane will be seeking a lucrative pay day.

Thursday

James Owen is having a flying start to the jumps season and will look to make it three wins over hurdles with Liam Swagger in Market Rasen's juvenile hurdle (12.45). He is a 33-1 shot for the Triumph Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival.

There is also a hot-looking 2m4½f novice hurdle (1.15) on the card with good winners It's Hard To Know and Clondaw General among potential runners.

Friday

It is the first of two high-quality days at Sandown. Handstands and Resplendent Grey could feature in the Esher Novices' Chase (2.33), while the exciting Kingston Pride features in the other Betfair-sponsored Grade 2 on the card, the Winter Novices' Hurdle (1.58).

There is a key trial for the Welsh Grand National at Exeter with Chepstow hope Jubilee Express among those looking to test his credentials in the 3m6½f handicap chase (3.20).

There is also racing at Sedgefield over jumps and Newcastle on the all-weather in the evening.

Saturday

Jonbon is the star attraction in the Betfair Tingle Creek (3.00), looking to become the first horse to defend his crown successfully since Kauto Star in 2006. The race is one of two top-level prizes at Sandown along with the Betfair Henry VIII Novices' Chase (1.50).

There is action over the Grand National fences at Aintree in the Boylesports Becher Chase (2.07) where Grand Sefton winner King Turgeon could return to the track.

Further action takes place at Chepstow, Wetherby, Navan and Wolverhampton.

Sunday

Some of the world's best head to Sha Tin for Hong Kong's big day on Sunday. Melbourne Cup winner Without A Fight is among entries for a fascinating Hong Kong Vase with Luxembourg and Dubai Honour while Britain's Breeders' Cup heroes Romantic Warrior and Starlust are also likely to star. The latter will take on the exceptional Ka Ying Rising in the Sprint, who broke the Sha Tin track record last time out.

The ITV4 cameras are at Huntingdon and Kelso for a quality finish to the week. Huntingdon's highlight is the TrustATrader Peterborough Chase (1.50) while north of the border it is the Bruce Farms Scottish Borders National (2.05) is the feature.
