What's on this week: huge jumps cards keep coming with Coral Gold Cup day at Newbury and Mystical Power and Sir Gino clashing at Newcastle
Monday
Smart hurdlers Gidleigh Park and Iberico Lord are set to make their debuts over fences in Kempton's 2m2f beginners’ chase (1.30). A 2m5f mares' Listed contest (2.35) also features on the card.
The sole other fixture is at Ludlow, where Feel The Pinch bids for back-to-back wins in the 2m handicap chase (2.50) for Robbie Llewellyn and Charlie Price.
Confirmations are made for the two big races in Britain this weekend, the Coral Gold Cup at Newbury and Newcastle's Grade 1 BetMGM Fighting Fifth Hurdle.
Tuesday
Laser Focus chases a hat-trick for in-form trainer James Owen in the 2m4f novice handicap hurdle (2.30) at Sedgefield, but he is not the only runner bidding to rack up a sequence.
Clean Getaway bids for a four-timer in the 2m½f handicap chase (2.00) against another hat-trick seeker in Mutual Respect, while Jasmin De Grugy is out for a fourth successive win in Southwell's 2m4½f handicap chase (1.05).
Ireland’s first meeting of the week is at Tipperary, where Willie Mullins sends out newcomer Karniquet in the same 2m maiden hurdle (12.45) won by Gaelic Warrior two years ago.
Away from the track, entries are released for Cheltenham's December Gold Cup on December 14 and the Welsh Grand National at Chepstow on December 27. King George hopefuls must also pass through the acceptance stage, where connections will have to pay £500 by noon to stay in contention.
Wednesday
Some of Britain’s best mares are entered in Market Rasen's Listed feature (2.25), including Galia Des Liteaux, Fantastic Lady, Apple Away and Marsh Wren.
Dan Skelton's smart novice hurdler Let It Rain is entered at Market Rasen and at Wetherby, where six last-time-out winners could be in opposition in the 2m mares' novice hurdle (1.35).
Sam Thomas is operating at an outstanding 60 per cent strike-rate over the last fortnight and could send two newcomers to Hereford's 2m bumper (3.45), with Doctor Blue and Sangpoursangamoi both entered.
Wednesday's action is wrapped up with an all-weather card at Dundalk.
Thursday
It's For Me, who beat Caldwell Potter last season, is a name of note in Thurles's opening beginning chase (12.05) alongside stablemate Tullyhill, who was sent off favourite for the Supreme in March.
Plenty of smart names feature in the entries for the Listed 2m6f chase (12.40), including Fil Dor, Appreciate It and Grand National runner-up Delta Work.
Ilikedwayurthinkin, a wide-margin winner last time out, heads to Musselburgh for the 2m7½f handicap chase (2.45), while there is a fixture from Taunton.
Racing concludes with action at Lingfield, where Challow Hurdle hopeful The New Lion is entered in the 2m novice hurdle (2.55).
Friday
Newbury hosts a Premier meeting headlined by the Grade 2 Coral John Francome Novices' Chase (1.55), won last year by Hermes Allen. Paul Nicholls could be in a strong position to strike again with Grade 1 winner Captain Teague and Caldwell Potter, bought for €740,000 in February, among the entries.
Liverpool Hurdle winner Strong Leader is set to make his return in the Coral Long Distance Hurdle (3.05), in which he could face Grade 1 winners Beacon Edge, Crambo and Dashel Drasher.
The Go North series hold qualifiers at Musselburgh and Doncaster, where Nicholls could again be in action with the lightly raced Wrappedupinmay.
It's the day of the Irish general election and the country stages an evening meeting at Dundalk led on a feature 2m handicap (7.30).
Saturday
Newcastle was set to stage the grand return of star hurdler Constitution Hill but his participation was ruled out last week due to lameness.
In his place, Sir Gino will be Nicky Henderson's leading representative in the BetMGM Fighting Fifth Hurdle (2.10) and should prove a more than able replacement after a smooth Grade 1 victory when last seen in April. Irish raiders Mystical Power and Brighterdaysahead are also entered.
The track also stages the £70,000 BetMGM Rehearsal Handicap Chase (3.20), won last year by subsequent Gold Cup fourth L'Homme Presse.
The Coral Gold Cup (3.00) is the feature event at Newbury and Jamie Snowden bids for back-to-back wins with Colonel Harry. Smart handicappers Victtorino and Midnight River could also be in contention.
Newbury's fixture will be the latest 'Under Jockeys' Orders' raceday, during which several jockey-centric events will take place, including autograph signing, a commentary challenge, and a jockey Q&A led by local school children.
A morning card at Bangor kicks off with a 2m3½f maiden hurdle (10.35) alongside jumps cards at Doncaster and Fairyhouse, which stages a Grade 3 2m hurdle (1.55) for four-year-olds and a 2m1f Listed chase (12.45).
Sunday
Fairyhouse opens its doors once more and Gordon Elliott will bid for another Grade 1 prize in the Bar One Racing Drinmore Novice Chase (2.05) following success in the Morgiana Hurdle with Brighterdaysahead.
The contest was won by Grand National star I Am Maximus last season and Better Days Ahead and Croke Park rank among Elliott's leading chances, and he could complete a Grade 1 double with Teahupoo in the Bar One Racing Hatton's Grace Hurdle (2.40).
The staying hurdle champion is odds-on to complete a hat-trick in the Grade 1 contest but could face the formidable Lossiemouth, who missed the Morgiana due to a stone bruise.
Jumps cards at Carlisle and Leicester conclude the week's action.
