What's on this week: Gold Cup time at Ayr and Newbury hosts Mill Reef Stakes
Monday
The week kicks off with four meetings and the biggest point of interest may come from the sole jumps fixture at Worcester.
Grand Annual winner Global Citizen returns for his first start since his 28-1 Cheltenham Festival success (2.05), with the US Grand National on his agenda.
Flat meetings at Brighton, Thirsk and Kempton complete the day's racing in Britain.
Tuesday
Ballydoyle two-year-olds Duke Cador and Gulf Of Mexico (2.00) and The Shunter (3.10) are names to note on the afternoon Punchestown card, the sole meeting in Ireland.
There are three Flat fixtures in Britain, with racing coming from Yarmouth, Redcar and Wolverhampton, while the 2m6½f handicap chase at Uttoxeter (4.10) is sure to be of interest to jump racing enthusiasts.
Wednesday
Two Listed races feature on Wednesday's cards with the first coming at Yarmouth, which hosts a seven-race Flat meeting.
The EBF Stallions John Musker Fillies' Stakes (3.20) could be headed by State Occasion, who scored at Glorious Goodwood and the Ebor festival.
There is another Listed contest just 15 minutes later at Sandown, where Bayside Boy and Reach For The Moon feature among the entries for the Chasemore Farm Fortune Stakes (3.35) over a mile.
Flat racing is also staged at Beverley, while there is a valuable handicap hurdle (4.15) at Kelso and more jump racing in Ireland at Sligo.
Thursday
The Racing League concludes at Newcastle in the evening and leaders London and the South will be looking to finish the six-week series at the top of the table.
Elsewhere, it is Flat racing across the cards including at Ayr, where the track's Gold Cup meeting gets under way. The Virgin Bet Kilkerran Cup (3.35) is the pick of the action on the opening day, while at Yarmouth it is the final day of their Eastern festival with a seven-race card.
Ireland's sole meeting is at Naas and includes the debut running of the Goffs Sportsman's Challenge (3.10). The two-year-old contest is open exclusively to Goffs Sportsman's Sale yearlings and offers €100,000 in prize-money.
Friday
Day two of Ayr's Gold Cup meeting features two Listed contests, the Arran Scottish Sprint EBF Fillies' Stakes (3.10) and the British EBF Stallions Harry Rosebery Stakes (4.20), a two-year-old contest won by subsequent Group 1 winners Quiet Reflection and Winter Power.
The Virgin Bet Ayr Bronze Cup is another race to note, while over at Newbury the Listed Dubai Duty Free Cup Stakes (4.03) headlines a seven-race card known to host plenty of future stars.
A jumps meeting at Newton Abbot and evening card at Kempton round out the day, with Irish racing at Downpatrick and Dundalk.
Saturday
The biggest Flat meeting in Scotland reaches its finale at Ayr Gold Cup day, with the showcase handicap worth £150,000 in prize-money (3.40).
Last year's top three finishers Bielsa, Great Ambassador and Mr Wagyu could feature once more in the 6f contest, with runners who do not make the cut able to run in the consolation Silver Cup (2.30).
Ayr also hosts two Pattern contests, with the Listed Virgin Bet Doonside Cup Stakes (1.55) and the Virgin Bet Firth Of Clyde Fillies' Stakes (3.05) – the only Group race run in Scotland.
There is lots of Group action to be found south of the border, however, and Newbury hosts three such races headlined by the Dubai Duty Free Mill Reef Stakes (2.50).
In Ireland, Gowran Park stages the Group 3 Denny Cordell Lavarack & Lanwades Stud Fillies Stakes (3.55), while jump racing comes from Navan.
Newmarket, Catterick and Wolverhampton are other track's to host meetings.
Sunday
The week ends in a quiet fashion with three meetings across Britain and Ireland.
Flat racing from Hamilton and jump racing at Plumpton and Listowel complete the week.
